Tips
and hints for taking better photos
Updated March 09, 2001.
Make sure
you use the correct film for the type of photos you will be
taking.
Take lots of
photos, more than you think you will need. Remember that some may
not turn out well. The more you take, the more likely you are to
get good ones.
Take photos
from different directions and distances. Make sure that you get at
least a few close ups. You don't want all the photos to be taken
from the same perspective. Having photos from different directions
and distances make will make your pages more appealing.
The subject
of your photo doesn't always have to be in the center.
Make sure
you actually look at what you are photographing. Is the lighting
right? Are there distractions in the picture? Would a different
angle be better?
Be sure to
include the entire event. I realized as I began scrapbooking that
my pictures really aren't all that great. I have lots of vacation
photos of the things we saw, but very few of us seeing the things.
I also have lots of my children at parties and such, but nothing
to show who else was there.
