My first Toki ride

I am not used to commuting. In elementary and high school I always had a school bus or service that would get me to and fro school. So during my freshie year, I was not that familiar in taking a jeepney especially since I am new in UP. I was confused with the different jeeps I need to ride. I had a lot of bloopers in riding the jeeps in UP.

One time I rode a Toki jeep and it was my first time to ride a toki from the gym. I was seated at the back of the driver at that time. My destination was in our boarding house in Area 2. I didn't know the Toki's route that it will need to pass the Masscom building. When we turned right going to CMC, I was suddenly afraid that I rode in the wrong jeep because it was not the way going to Area 2. And so being the innocent freshie that I am, I tapped the driver in the back and told him I was going to the SC in area 2 and that this was not the right way. HAHAHHAHAHAH!!! I instructed the driver where to go. The driver was dumbfounded and just looked at me. All those people in the jeep were just staring at me. I was trying to act knowledgeable and conceal my being a freshie but I guess I was not successful. Of course they knew I was a freshie. When I reached the boarding house I told my friend Chum about it and she started laughing hysterically.

There was another funny incident when I was riding an Ikot from SC to AS, I was in a hurry to take any jeep even if it's crowded coz I didn't want to be late for my subject because my prof roll calls early. I was wearing a ¾ blouse with buttons in front that day. As I squeezed my way to one seat beside a man, the buttons of my blouse suddenly torn open. You could hear the sound of the buttons unclasping from their place. I was mortified especially to the person in front of me. I immediately covered my self with my backpack before I expose myself for everyone to see. My face was really red all over and I can't look at the people inside the jeep. And now whenever I remember those times, it never fails to put a smile on my face.
