Dear Diary,

I'm feeling rather shell shocked at the moment. On the last world, right before the slide I saw a man die right in my arms, and he slipped me this circular disc right beforehand. I didn't know what else to do with it, so I pocketed it and brought it to the next world, only to have the same scene repeat itself before my eyes. To watch someone die like that is horrifying, and to hear his last words was even worse because I didn't know what he meant. "Elsie." "The rock." and a matchbook that said Top Hat. I was able to stop the murder on this world, but now I'm not so sure I should have gone to the police. We've figured out that the cops here repress the united states constitution, and the man that I turned in is actually a federal judge that is working to bring about free speech and the constitution. The cops here dress in skirts which the Professor says may have something to do with the late President Hoover. Apparently he was into cross-dressing and perhaps had a male lover. This world is under martial law because of him too. He was President here for 22 years! Quinn and I are going to the Top Hat Nightclub later to see what it's all about, and later we're going to drop in on Doppler's to see what the disc says. Maybe that will help clear up this mess.
