Eric and Greta Fan Fiction
"Overcoming the Past"
Chapter Eighteen
Greta relaxed back against Eric and tried to stifle the yawn that came over her but it slipped out.  Eric hadn't been paying attention but noticed her sudden intake of breath.
"Was that a yawn?" he asked, peeking around to see her face.
"It's probably just from the warm water" she protested, but another slipped out.
"No, don't lie, you're tired" he said.  "Actually, I am too...it's been a long night"
"But I don't want it to end yet" she protested.
"We don't have to" he said, chuckling gently.  "We'll just move it to another room"
"What are you planning?" she asked, smiling at him.
"I completely forgot about it when someone succesfully distracted me in the hot tub" he said, and she blushed slightly.  "But I had a bottle of champagne sent to the room-it's chilling in the living room"
"Ooo, that sounds good" she said.  She started to climb out of the tub but he stopped her with his hand.  She settled back in the quickly cooling water as he climbed out and grabbed himself a towel.  After wrapping it around his waist, he grabbed her towel.  He opened it up and held out his hand to her.  She rose out of the water and stepped out of the tub into the open towel that he quickly wrapped around her.
"Go ahead into the bedroom and get changed while I go get it" he said, rubbing her arms to warm her up.  She nodded and let herself out.  He dried off quickly and pulled on the flannel pajama bottoms he had left in there from the morning before hurrying to get their things from the living room.
Greta quickly dried off and let her hair fall down.  The heat from the tub had added loose waves to her hair and she quickly ran her hands through it to calm it.  She pulled on her silk pajamas and wiped all smudges of her make up off.  She heard him coming back so she quickly sprayed on some perfume and sat down on the edge of the bed before he knocked gently.
"Come in" she said, and the door swung inward.  He entered carrying the bottle, two glasses, and another wrapped package.  She hurried to help him and held the glasses.
"Here we go" he said, popping the cork off.  He poured the two glasses that she held before he set the bottle next to the package on the dresser.  She raised her glass to take a sip and he stopped her.
"We should have a toast"
"What are we celebrating?" she asked, smiling at his eager demeanor.
"Our future-together" he said, raising his glass.  She tapped it lightly with her own and they both took a sip of the champagne, the bubbles causing her to giggle. She scrunched up her nose at the feeling and Eric smiled at her.
"I love you, Greta" he said.
"I love you too" she answered, and then peered around him.  "So what's in the package?"
"Ohhh, curiosity got the best of you?" he teased.
"Yeah, it did, so what is it?" she asked.  He picked it up and she eagerly held out her hands.
"What makes you think it's for you?" he teased and her face fell.
"Oh" she said.  "Sorry...I just assumed"
"I'm kidding" he interrupted.  "It's for you"
"Then what..." she started.
"Sit down first" he instructed.  She obeyed that and also when he told her to close her eyes.  She waited as he sat down next to her.  He carefully ran his finger lightly over her soft lips and her mouth opened slightly at he did so.  She was surprised when she found a fresh strawberry in her mouth.
"Oh!" she said, bringing her hand to her mouth as it almost slipped out again.  He laughed as he watched her finish chewing.
"Are they good?" he asked.
"Very" she said, taking one and feeding it to him.  He smiled and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.  The two continued feeding each other strawberries and champagne, forgetting about everything but each other.
