Eric and Greta Fan Fiction
Chapter Nine
The kiss deepened as Eric pulled her tighter in his arms.  Greta wasn't at all embarrassed to be kissing him like this in public because she knew that the boat was blocking them from the lake.  Eric pulled away from her and planted a kiss on her jawbone.  He then began kissing her down her neck and she leaned her head back to give him more room.  He ran his hand down her back and she moaned slightly at his touch.  She soon grew tired of treading water and pulled away from him for a minute.  Eric understood her without any words and pulled her over to where he could touch bottom.  He pulled her into his arms again and started to kiss her.  Greta put her arms around his neck and gently wrapped her legs around his waist.  He groaned into the kiss when she did that and she smiled as she ran her hands through his hair.  It was awhile before either of them remembered where they were and Greta finally put a stop to things.
"Eric" she said, breathlessly, as she pulled away.  He laughed.
"There we go again" he said.
"We should enjoy our time here while we have it" she said.  "Not that I don't enjoy this but..."
"I know what you mean" he said.  "How long have we been out here?"
"I don't know" Greta said, shivering a little.  He pulled her close.
"Let's go get back on the boat and warm up" he said.
"Sounds good" she said, and they both began to swim back up to the boat.  Eric reached it first and pulled himself up.  He then helped her climb up and wrapped her towel around her, rubbing her shoulders to warm her up.  He peeked at his watch that was sitting on a bench.
"It's after 12" he said.  "Are you hungry?"
"Starved" she admitted.  "But where are we going to eat?"
"Lucky for you, I planned ahead" he said.  He reached into a compartment and pulled out a basket.  "I went to the restuarant and had them make us up a picnic lunch"
"Eric, that is so cute" she said, peering into the basket.  Inside were some sandwiches with fruit salad and a few other things.  "Looks great"  They both settled down on the seat together and quickly munched on their sandwiches.  Eric then took out a spoon and handed her the one package of fruit chunks.  He took a bite and she followed.  "Mmm, this is great, Eric"
"Yeah, but I didn't get any strawberries" he said, pouting.  She laughed.
"Lucky for you that I know how to share" she said, with a smile.  She took one from her cup and held it out.  He leaned over and she placed it gently in his mouth.  As he took the strawberry he took her finger in his mouth and gently sucked the fruit juices off it.  He gave her a look and she leaned over and kissed him hard on the lips.  When she pulled away he smiled.
"I'm not sure what tasted better, the berry or you"
"No contest!" she protested, jokingly.
"Better give me another chance then" he said, taking her chin and gently kissing her.
"Well?" she asked, when they parted.
"Definately you" he said, with a grin.  She began to pick up all their packages and put them back in the basket.
"Now what?" she asked.
"How about we relax until our food digests and then head into some more fun stuff" he suggested.
"Sounds good" she said.  "But it's a little cold here, the sun's gone"
"There's another cove over there that's in the sunlight" he said, pointing.  "We can go over there".  He started the engine up and slowly directed it across the lake.  Once there, he stopped the motor and again dropped anchor.  He turned to see Greta let the towel slip off her shoulders.  She wasn't aware that he was watching and he grinned at how unconscious she was of her actions.  She turned and lifted her feet up on the seat and arched her back as she stretched.  She put her sunglasses on and lifted her long hair up and let it fall down her back again.  He swallowed hard as she shifted positions and laid back in the sunlight with her one leg still bent.
*My God* he thought to himself.  *She doesn't even know what she does to me*  He groaned when he remembered what he had to tell her later.  *Damn you, Nicole.  None of this would be an issue if I had never met you.  Why was I so stupid?  If she hadn't put my life in danger, there would be no confessons to tell Greta tonight and I would't have to worry about showing her how much I really do love her*  Greta turned and saw him deep in thought.
"What's wrong?  What has you so serious?" she asked.
"Oh...nothing" he said.  "Just thinking"
"About...?" she prompted.
"You" he said.  "About how incredibly gorgeous you are.  And how very lucky I am to be with you".  She smiled.
"I'm the lucky one" she said, sitting up.  Eric came over and sat behind her and put one leg around her.  She leaned up against him with a smile.  "Eric, can we stay here forever?"
"Forever?" he said.  "Why?"
"Cause everything feels so right at this moment" she said, snuggling up against his back.  "I just wish I could stay in ithis moment forever"
"I can't promise you that we can stay here forever" he said.  "But if you'll give me the chance, I'll promise to give you a lot more moments ike this"
"Moments like what?" she asked, hoping he was feeling the same thing she was.
"Moments where I hold you in my arms and the whole world feels right" he said.  "Moments when time stands still and the world stops and we're the only two people on Earth.  Moments when I thank God that he gave you to me and moments  when I hope and pray that there are more moments like this"  Greta turned to him with tears in her eyes.
"Eric, that was so beautiful" she said, in barely a whisper.
"Hey, there, don't cry" he said, wiping a tear away.
"I'm just so happy' she said.  He laughed and held her tighter.
"Then smile for me" he said.  She turned and gave him a smile.  "That's the smile I fell in love with"  Her grin grew and she settled against his chest, pulling his arms tighter around her and another one of those timeless moments passed.
