Hello Hello, everyone, Welcome to my December Newsletter, which includes contributions by Nitya, Prasad, Mukund as well as a puzzle sent by Raghu.Let us hope more and more relatives take part in the preparation of the Newsletter. The response to the November Newsletter was as expected. From NAUnet, Raghu and Prasad wrote fairly promptly, with Mukund also responding. From SRIKAMnet, Geetha and Urmila responded, with Usha and Murali writing a letter, but not on the Newsletter. The silent majority, as usual, chose to be silent. Apparently, people in Chennai and Bangalore see the Newsletter, but they want it to be a secret by not letting us know. As usual, I have given a Javascript quiz to test your knowledge after you finish this Newsletter. Please attempt it for fun. Parthasarathy Why should nostalgia be only about people, why not about a city? click here for old photos of Madras Strange, but true Did you know that.... the flight number of one of the two planes that hit one of the two WTC Towers was Q33NY. In MS-Word, if you type this and change the font to wingdings (font size=28), you get ![]() As you can see, it shows a plane, two towers, skull and Star of David (Israel's symbol). Coincidence, but eerie!! |
HUMOUR For a hilarious question paper that I got in my mail, click here WHAT IS CRICKET? You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. Sometimes the referee also decides who should be out of the ground. When both sides have been in and all the men are out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game! |
Now that you have read the Newsletter, you must attempt this Quiz
