INTRODUCTION
For decades now, Pancit Malabon has been a great part of the lives of the Filipino people as one of their main gourmet during important occasions. What makes this delicacy truly mouth watering to a lot of folks is the combination of the different ingredients added into it- a dash made in heaven. Residents from the progressive City if Malabon takes great pride in the fact that this enticing dish that is famous even abroad originated from their locality. In spite of the popularity of the Pancit Malabon, no recorded event in the city's history has been ever held by any organizations or individuals, to celebrate the high repute of this authentic dish.
Recognizing the importance of this food in the lives of the people of Malabon, the Young Achievers of Malabon and Navotas (Y.A.M.A.N) and Malabon Medical Emergency and Transport Rescue Organization (Malabon METRO) spearheaded a Pancit Malabon Festival in the great tradition of the Ati- Atihan Festival of Aklan, Sinulog of Cebu, Mascara of Bacolod, Panagbenga of Baguio, Lechon Festival of Batangas, and the other special occasions of the country.
Being united is a great factor in making something a success, without unity all the things that people wanted to do will be useless, man cannot be triumphant with out the help of others, all of us need someone to lend a hand in achieving their goals and desire.

The Pancit Malabon Festival was a success because of the unity and the preparedness shown by the people. As they say two heads are better than one. If only one person had worked as expected this will not came out successful because his idea is limited but in this case people had helped and lend a hand to everyone's idea, the event have been an excellent one.

There will be more festival like this in the next generations as far as the people will always be united for achieving a common goal, which is to make the next festival better!

ACTIVITIES

Tiangge - The tiangge started one week before the Festival. It is also render service to the tourist that will be participating on the said occasion and proffer a wide variety of delicacy that Malabon can be proud.

Motorcade- The motorcade started six in the morning to formally open the event. The chairman of the festival, Mr. Jojo Flores together with his team and other non-government organizations, headed it.

Biggest Pancit Bilao - Displaying the Biggest Pancit Bilao ever made highlighted the culmination of the festival. Through the help of the ten known Pancit Malabon pioneers, ingredients and materials icludes 10 kilos pancit, 100 pieces eggs, 10 kilos shrimp, 10 kilos squid, and over 20 kilos vegatables had wielded effort and ingenuity in making the delicacy more eye-catching in terms of presentation and to make it more delicious for the devour of everyone.

Kainan sa Kalye (Pancit Malabon Street Eating) - After the presentation of the Biggest Pancit Malabon, all of the guests and spectators was given a serving of Pancit Malabon for free. Each and everyone munch the Pancit Malabon together.

Pancit Malabon Parade (Characol) - The Characol started at eight in the morning along F. Sevilla Boulevard, San Agustin going to Rizal Avenue Extension down to the stretch of General Luna Street toward Concepcion Plaza. First in line were the streamer followed by the Ati-Atihan for crowd lure. Participants from the NGO were the next trailed by the participants from Elementary Schools and High Schools with their multihued outfits accompanied by the music that was provided by MMETRO and YAMAN. All participants continuously danced until they reached Plaza Concepcion.

Pabitin - The pabitin was done to maintain the festive mood of the guest and residents right after the street dancing. There were around fifteen pabitin s, and each of pot cause a thousand pesos for the goods. The populace and visitors truly enjoyed the zippy and zesty activity!

Pansitan sa Kalye (Pancit Malabon Booths) - Along the street of Paez, there were booths of the different proprietor of the Pancit Malabon pioneers . This affair serves as an open door for the Pancit Malabon owners to introduce their own Pancit Malabon to the people. It's a privilege for us and to other people to meet in person some of the proprietor and the people behind the triumph of the various pancitan in Malabon.

Pancit Eating Contest - This activity started around at the middle of the afternoon. Mr. Arad Guevarra, Ms. Goya Rivera-Ancheta and Vice Mayor Vicencio headed this activity. One of our friends joined this activity, that's why we were very agitated ans as well excited. The champ of this event will be bringing home one thousand pesos. This activity was divided into three parts and these follow the children sector, the ladies sector, and the men sector. After the event, even if our friend did not win, we trully enjoyed because of the excitement and joy it brings to us.
