My apologies for the quality of the foundation stone picture but the shadow on the right hand side of the picture was worse than I thought when I took the photo. The church is situated on the corner of Ebden Street and Hutton Street.
This stone gives most of the information that might be needed about the building of this church. It was designed by an English architect Charles Hansome. Work on the construction was begun by Andrew Strumbucco under the supervision of George & Schneider in 1857 and was completed in 1869 under William Wardell. There was an organ gallery added in 1892.
