St Joseph's Catholic Church
This church was designed by the architect William Wardell and was begun in 1869-72. It was completed in 1886-89 with the addition of the western nave and the tower and spire which were designe by W. B. Tappin. This is the 2nd church of this name on the site. Th original church, which was built in 1856 as a simple bluestone structure, is now in use as a hall behind the present church.
