The Replicator:
It's both good and evil. When it was first created, it eliminated hunger. Food, tools, and a host of other things could be made with it. The aliens explained to me that the device made life easier. People didn't have to work for a living; they were able to remove stoves, cooling devices, closets, etc. No one had to go to stores. This of course eliminated alot of jobs, but who needs jobs? Everyone was able to do nothing for once; and with alot of nothing, they also lost their creativity.
Over a very long period of time, many of the people tried to be creative. Without creativity, new concepts couldn't be thought of, and the cities were looking old and UN-original. The ones who could be creative were honored.
They were hoping that if they learned the colorful art that is stained glass, that they would be looked upon as heroes. And with my training they are probably right.
After hearing the story about them, I realized that they never told me their names. As they told me their names, I realized that I was never going to be able to pronounce them. If I tried, it would make a rather rude noise; my lips would get tired and my hands would get all wet. I decided to call one of them Zorak and the other Moltar. They didn't mind. They were curious as to why I chose those names in particular, and I told them it was sort of an earth joke.
