Fish Table Lamp Fish Table Lamp

To photos of the lamp lit. (220K For All Photos Combined)

The two pictures above, represent the all four sides of the lamp. As you can see, the different illustrations continue from the top panels to the bottom panels and from one side to the next.

This was my challenge project for this year. I'm not sure how I'm going to top this one but I'll think of something. The design and the shapes are made by me which means I made my own molds. Out of all the themes I thought about, I chose fish because they are so colorful. It took a while to figure out what the lighting arrangement inside should be and the measurements of the finished project. The base where the stairs are is wood underneath in which I put tiny nails sticking up so when I soldered it, the base had no chance of falling off. The electrical hardware is made up of a three cluster light with 40 watt bulbs in it. Originally, when I first designed the shade, I didn't have a clue as to what the base would look like until the shade was completely done. Then I had to figure out how make a design that would support the lamp, look good, and not fall over.

For anyone interested the background color is from Youghiogheny, it's a blue Stipple. It helps break up the light somewhat and it prevents hot spots.
