Isn't life grand? The amount of chances we get, though, are minimal... life is not a dress rehearsal. It's not fun to be lonely, and being on the Internet I'm sure you've encountered a few questionable sites as well as some really wonderful ones as well. Sort of like the people we meet (and are related to!)... but it's all what makes this lifetime so interesting.
It's not fun feeling lonely, and we all feel that way at some point or another - even if we are continually surrounded by others, we still need to make that certain connection. Sometimes we are lucky and have wonderful friends and lovers, other times we need to find other avenues to search through. The Internet is a great place to meet friends and find love... as long as you are careful and use your common sense. One great thing about the 'net is the way it reaches across geographical boundaries... I have met wonderful people online who live all over the world! It might be worthwhile to take a chance and safely and carefully attempt to meet others (whether permanantly online or later in person) who share our common interests. So, I've compiled a list of a few sites that you can browse through and decide if searching the Internet for friendship or love is right for you.
Matchmaking/Dating/PenPal sites:
match.com - Great site for finding pen-pals, friends, and love. You get a free trial period, and an anonymous email address that is used to identify you. Lots of great features, including a browse and a matchmaker.
