Spotlight Playhouse
Featured Artist Application

division line

Periodically, I'll be adding new artists to be featured here at the Spotlight Playhouse. I'm hoping that many will choose to show their newest galleries exclusively here (as Ruth Steinfatt has done), as this adds a touch of excitement and shows your viewer that your talent is recognized by others. If any of your work would fit well into the postcard shoppe then please make a note of it in the application so that it will be placed there as well (all work within the card shoppe is credited to you, with an email link, which means extra exposure for you).

If whatever you want to showcase is considered 'art' by you (and not necessarily within the confines of anyone's definiton of art), is original and copyrighted to you (in other words, you created it), then please fill out the form below so that I can check it out. If you aren't looking to show several pieces of artwork, you might want to apply in the Zappa Room where single (original, copyrighted) works are displayed by a variety of artists.

Please keep in mind that this is not an award program, nor is it a contest or competition. It's just a fabulous way for a few very special talents to get their work out, noticed, and receive feedback from their viewers. Only current participants are to use the "Featured Artist" graphic, and it is to always be linked back to this site. Sites containing anything not within the GeoCities guidelines (pornography, hacking, excessive and unnecessary profanity, sexually explicit, hate sites, etc.) will be automatically refused from participation.

I do not send out email denying acceptance, so if you haven't heard from me before the end of a week or two (or more in extreme circumstances!), then either your work doesn't meet my standards or I have extremely bad taste (it's up to you). Should you disagree with my decision, the criteria by which I personally judge who can show their works here, or anything else, then feel free to search elsewhere for a page worthy of showing your work.
