Autumn Leaves

I was mesmerized by the falling of the leaves
Enraptured by an invisible beauty,
the emotional breeze.
The pain and the sorrow
prisoner to the weeping limbs,
as the tree mourned the autumn and swayed
against the empty wind.
Silently giving peace to the earth,
blankets of gold...before summer's last dusk.
I was mesmerized by the falling of the leaves...
As I saw myself
falling away
from me.
