Time As surely as the plow tears through the soil- uprooting disrupting furrowing preparing the field for cultivation.... time just as surely plows through our lives- birth growth death leaving its mark on generations.©Robert Barcus |
Honor Freedom is the heritage of our nation. Life is the legacy of our ancestors. But honor is the patrimony of the soul, And the soul is a gift from God alone. © Zadeik |
Dark stars drown out the music of sirens, snare drum crack of a pistol, children screaming in the night. I will suffer through your prayer. I will listen, but only drown out the heavy-metal screams of a dying society. I will listen, and watch the dark stars grow. ©David Payne, Jr. |

Untitled The birds of sunlight all have flown the mend that twilight's threads have sewn binds day to night, soft blend eternal the darkened, dreamlike shift diurnal. Yet one remains, the golden flower that flutters westward with the hour streaks of amber, mellowed, aging darkness conquers, midnight raging. Shadows steal from beds obscure to taunt and trick and then to lure, westbound winds with icy fingers reach to capture all who linger.©Amanda Leigh Cornwall homepage |
