Let the raven croak and fly,
Over them who will not die.
God, O God, let better men
See Thy kingdom come.

Let the eagle's watchful eye,
Notice them who daily die.
God, O God, let these poor men
See Thy kingdom come.

Beneath

See beneath the calm surface of the volcanoe
Lies a pool of molten lava, threatening to erupt

See beneath the calm sea of blue
A powerful current, pulling with it, everything in it's path

See beneath the cover
Lies pages of adventure and romance

See beneath the reflection, turn me inside out
There burns a love, there lies a current of hope, there lies expectations of adventure and love

The Truth

Killing the kind words we said about you
After you unwillingly fell back into Hell
The night air was so crisp and cold that we knew
How evil you could truly become
Even the nightengales screamed at their deaths
Revealing their true vicious natures
In the frozen sky plummeting down
Nearer to the truth than we'd ever been
Excitedly widening your eyes
Although we loved you
No longer could we overlook
No longer make ourselves blind to your soul
Eventually we had to read you like a book
Screaming you added what we did not know
Cold was your cruel brutal fear
How could we ever stoop quite as low to
Understand your posession, my dear
Laughing you're trying to ease up your pain
To endless amounts of my joy
Zestily screaming into the rain
Your heart falls to pieces as though it's a toy
Over hilltops and mountains your cries are not heard
Unwillingly crumbling down
A seemingly innocent sight can be seen
Resplendid joy on the horizon
Even if you attempt to apologize now
My heart will be shut to you forever

A Free Girl

Taking her life into her own hands
Rejoicing that she's finally done it
After she's left her hell
Cursing the people who held her down
Into the night she runs
Joyously using her own free will
And never looking back
Not a soul doesn't wonder who she is
A nice sweet girl from a small little town
Escaping from the small little town
She's going to make something of her life
Although they didn't want her to
Cordially she passes the man on the street
Keeping her past to herself
Reviving it only in dark, secret times
Incredibly, this time she will succeed
Determined to make a name for herself
Even through the hard times
Rebellious, she will win
No matter what

Distant

Keepng her secrets all to herself
And every pain locked inside
The natural leader I did know so well
Yesterday was the day when she lived
No longer do I notice that smile on her face
Every shred of happiness is gone
Lost and sad seems her aura these days
Somewhere her soul lives all alone
Only if she knew how much I care
Nobody would hurt her again
Pleading am I to know the truth
Each day that passes she is further gone
Nervously she makes slight attempts
Leaving me behind in her past
After all we've been through together
Nothing could have taken us apart except
Despair that she brings unto herself
