My Wish

Sometimes I wish for dreams,
Because reality keeps taking us,
Further away from each other,
It takes me from the strength,
That only your arms can offer.

Sometimes I wish for my fantasies,
Because my daytimes are nightmares,
Filled with thoughts of you,
Leaving me alone again,
With only memories to warm me.

Sometimes I wish for my hopes,
Because they are so filled,
With loving adoration,
Given selflessly to me by you,
And yet I awake alone.

So I live on in my way,
Traveling through dream worlds,
Holding on so tight,
To something that I can't quite keep,
And watching you slip away.

My days and nights are filled
With memories of you,
Your voice, your smile, your warm embrace,
You never leave my heart,
My soul is your's to take.

The problem is I'm not sure,
If you want what I have to give,
You smile at me and joke with me,
But still you slip further away,
And I'm falling out of your arms, out of your love...

ALREADY DEAD

WHY IS MY LIFE NOTING MORE THAN A STAIN.
COVERED WITH SCARS AND CRACKS FROM THE PAIN.
A BEATLESS HEART AND A DREAMLESS BRAIN.
AND NO ONE'S CARE WHEN I WENT INSANE.

NEVER A FATHER TO SHOW ME THE WAY.
NEVER A MOTHER WHO HAD TIME TO STAY.
NEVER A FRIEND WITH SOMETHING TO SAY.
NEVER A GOD WHO ANSWERED MY PRAY.

THE ONLY REASON I DO NOT DIE,
IS BECAUSE I SEEK THE ANSWER WHY,
MY ENTIRE LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE,
WITH NO ONE THERE TO SAY GOOD-BYE.

*Soundlessness*

One-legged crouch
Handfull of stones
Look up too long at
Triangle mountains
Chocolate cake contrast
Sharper green
Close ahead

Scatter the stones
And scatter the dust
Scatter the sun
On the dusty path
Throw the cluttering
Old stone thoughts
Nowhere to go
Close ahead

Swirl quiet, the breeze
Soft somber, the birds
Slow rising, eyes wander
Look down on the stones
No wonder
They landed
They fall
So still

Look nowhere
Hands out
Now pocket
Still hands
Feel shoulders
Lost shoulders
Feel distance
No plans
No path

So then:

Murmur the train
Of the puffing clouds
Carry the wine
Of the day
Steady to sunset
The gathering crowds
Beetles and starlight
Cascading away...

Old stones
Sole companions
Back in the dirt
Too quiet the
Memory
A night
Without dreams
No stones
To hold onto
The dust
Close ahead

Silent love lingers
In eyes that won't close
Right away

Not even a thought
Casts a voice again

Sleep

Gray Squirrel

we ran away
thru the night

hiding from frogs
and the crickets chirp

playing hide-and-seek
with the stars and the moon

i think tonight i値l ask
the milky way to be my ballroom

i値l sail throu the stars
on the wave of a nebula

dance with the wind
telling secrets

whispering, chattering
with no end

and when we pass by the moon
i think i値l give her a hug
in case she痴 lonely, too

and as we sail throu the stars
i値l play tag
with a comet

and as the night dawns upon the day
i値l fly to the garden of the universe

with my butterfly wings

to join the dragon and the unicorn
the faeries and the Pegasi

hiding behind the waterfall
alighting upon the dandelions

before it disappears
in the blink of an eye

the light casts down
upon the forest

molding shadows
from plaster masks

and vacant eyes

the shadows move
like clockwork

a marionette
to the sun

swallowed
and digested by the darkness

tomorrow
the sun will come again

too bad
the sun can稚 dance

like the wind

then the shadows
