cafe nowhere

Future.

I wish the rain would go away
and leave me with my yesterday
for yesterday was fine and bright
now we're in eternal night.
Day was here, it's been it's gone
Fine for me but bad for some
Now we see the sun no more
we fought the dark and lost the war.

My Season

Winter has loosened its icy grip
on my favorite hemisphere
and the equinox of the season
for soothing minds
has ushered in rays
of hope and happiness
long buried under snows
of emotion
now melting under
the warmth of life
invigorated.

eggshells settle
for the karma
of a Puritan.

the Golden Gate Bridge
wears the Friday-night face
of a voodoo doll.

love makes a monotonous man
feel the black burden
of his cave.

why do most people clean
their shineless midnight mirrors
as if there may be sunlight
to save?

Gone

You're dancing on the water,
as I am crawling on the ground.
The heat of your breath melts my soul.
The light of your eyes burns my skin.
A slow motion swirl that you fling.
A spell of words?
A sepia sky.
Your pale blue skin contrast.
Eyes move past me never seeing
never blinking
never stopping
I have become spell bound.
twisting me shaping me
Lighting across the sea.
Small ripples form in your wake,
yet I never see contact.
You dance on the waters.
I lose it.
