Sleeper

        Last Kiss

	feet in the river
	soft chill in our bones
	it's late
	but I'm already home.

	moon cradles night
	in a blanket of stars
	why are your lips
	from mine, so far.

	we tried laughter
	but we couldn't dismiss
	the chill of the night
	and a beautiful last kiss.

	the wind wraps night
	in memories of us
	I felt a little closer
	with that last gust.

	catch a kiss
	fallen from the stars
	final farewells
	increasingly so hard.

	"I could be the one,"
	keeping my mind in grips
	heart in throat for a
	beautiful last kiss.
