I could drive forever
hands above the handlebars.
Pedal as fast as I could
never waiver from the road.
I wouldn't fall
I wouldn't learn
To ride.

Remember when I lost my
training wheels, all grown up.
Ride in the driveway
helmet to protect my hair.
I grew up
In my driveway
To ride.

Daddy hung on to my seat
as I gained a little confidence.
Mommy patched up my
hurts when I lost balance.
I could ride
I could learn
To fall.

Watch for cars on the road
reflectors so they see you.
Be home before dinner
don't go too far.
Queen of the pavement
I was free
To ride.
