LEON : la musique

Il est courant d'entendre dire que la musique d'un film joue le rôle d'un personnage. Sa présence continuelle fait qu'on a plutôt tendance à l'oublier lors de la première vision d'un film. Mais en prenant soin de revoir le film, on peut s'apercevoir de son efficacité, et de son emploi judicieux. Après coup, on peut alors savourer uniquement l'écoute de la musique du film. Chaque note appelle alors une image du film.
Cela n'est bien sûr pas valable pour tous les films.
LEON en est cependant un parfait exemple. La musique d'Eric Serra est plus qu'adaptée, elle est tout à fait en accord avec chaque seconde du film. C'est un véritable plaisir que de l'écouter, pendant le film, et en-dehors du film.

Si vous en doutez encore, revoyez, par exemple, l'introduction (le vol au-dessus de Central Park et de New York), et la scène où Mathilda répond au téléphone 'She is dead'. Puis réécoutez la musique de ces deux scènes. Vous y sentirez toute la mélancolie des scènes du film, présentée dans une savante progression.

Note 5 : le CD ne semble pas contenir le morceau accompagnant la séquence 'The ring trick' de la version intégrale, et le morceau de la très courte séquence où l'on voit Léon qui veut tuer Mathilda allongée sur son lit.

Les deux morceaux de Björk (que Luc Besson semble particulièrement apprécier) et de Sting peuvent être trouvés sur les albums respectifs de ces deux chanteurs.
Les paroles de ces deux chansons sont loin d'être quelconques, et apportent une vision de LEON tout à fait intéressante, après les avoir écoutées.
