The silence is deafening
The radio is not enough to fill

the emptiness in me.

I look at the lake.
I could hear the raindrops

falling from the sky

as it splashes on its now naked surface.

I grow cold and lonely___
As I stare at the four walls

of my empty room.

I long for the warmth of her

unending embrace.

It was just two nigths ago

in a candle lit room.
