Phoenix/Arizona

After Intel decided to shut down the Princeton site, they offered me a transfer to the Phoenix area. It was going to be an adventure, and I decided to go for it. I had been fed up with the cold of the east, and the warmth of Arizona was very appealing. (Of course that was before I spent a SUMMER there :-) Plus, real estate was cheap, and at 22 I bought my first house in Chandler, AZ. I'm putting it on the market, but it's currently vacant, so if you need a place to stay maybe we can work something out.

I was not a big fan of southwestern landscaping, architecture, or decor, so I never quite felt at home in Arizona. I'd say it's a good place to retire, but not where I wanted to spend most of my life.

In the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix.
Hey, someone just told me this picture is not very flattering :(

My family and I in Sedona, Arizona, about 1.5 hours north of Phoenix.

Scaling those red rocks of Sedona.

Me trying to convince myself I'll like it there.
This was when Intel brought me out on a preview trip.
Note the Southwestern decor in the hotel room.
