Dawn Flight - December 29, 1997
I do not know why the seagulls cry
As they wing 'cross the sky in the morning.
But I hear them,
Eerie and wild and strange...
Too far from the sea for eternal waves
To soften their sound into music...
And I watch as they glide
Down the long Winter sky
Into the cold sun in the morning...

Eagle's Flight - July 11, 1997
Soar upward on wings of power and grace,
Record your passing on the wind,
And race through crystalline clouds to air
Too pure for those earth-bound to breathe.
But I have wings to match your own,
And through your flight I also soar,
In spirit mount upon the wind
And breathe that air so pure...

Earthbound - November 1, 1998
Sometimes as I walk by the restless sea,
I watch not the waves, but the grey gulls,
In bitter envy that they ride with ease
The rolling swells I cannot endure,
And soar upon the wild wind I cannot mount.

Icarius Reborn - August 19, 1997
Upon the breath of God I fly,
Soaring upward towards the sun
On golden wings.
They do not melt in glory's rays
And fail me as those mortal-made,
But given by a Hand divine
They bear me high.
And watched by Eye eternal
(That Eye that guards this foolish child)
I reach the very threshold
Of forever...

The Lone Eagle - February 26, 1999
Great Eagle Spirit, truth and wisdom,
Strength and healing for the kindred...
You who teach the flight of Life,
You who dance within the heavens,
Touching the face of Divine Creation.
You soar in peace above the Sky,
Leaving the worn and tawdry Earth,
Tattered and tarnished, torn apart
By the Mother's selfish children,
Snapping and snarling at each other.
But then in power you come to meet us,
Swiftly stooping on the dying land,
Holding the Way of Wisdom open,
Lending Wings to Death-heavy Spirits,
Healing Hearts burdened with sorrow.
Now you soar upward again upon the winds...
A feather falls to Earth...
I touch it, and am healed.

Pecking Order - January 30, 1998
A flight of gentle doves
Wings softly through the air,
Serene and peaceful, soaring free...
Black gangs of roistering crows
Swoop tumbling from the trees,
Crying out in mocking disdain...
A squadron of quick-winged swallows
Dart quickly across the sky,
Wing to wing they wheel and turn...
Majestic silhouettes of solitary gulls
Glide gracefully overhead,
Still and solemn on the wind..
And into their midst the swift-winged falcon
......STRIKES!

Winged Lady - June 10, 1999
She gazed upon the moon's full orb,
Then spread wide wings and caught the tide
Of lunar winds that flowed from out
That silv'ry sphere of gossamer fire.
She soared up through the net of pearls
That formed the border of the sky
And swept above the brilliant glow
From moon-traced clouds of melting ice,
Towards the Mother's luminous face
Within the darkness of the sky.
Her body, bared in glory fair
Within that shimmering lady-light,
Shone with a fire that bid to pale
The very flame that sparked its glow.
Her wide-spread hands between them wove
A cloth of Passion and of Strength...
It spun wide webs of fiery gems
And dancing trails of living Power
To glaze the night around her path
With dazzling hints of mastery.
An eye gazed up from far below,
But could not trace the form of she
Who flew in glory through the night,
And wove her magic tapestry.
