Yellow 2 Piece Dress

Ok I think went overboard with the number of pictures on this page.

But the two piece yellow dress was spectacular, and I loved how my makeup came out.

The shoes were terrific as well. I love Lucite and vinyl shoes.

Both were purchased from Old Pueblo Traders

Yesterday on the way to work on a Saturday I saw a very busy yard sale.

I always think these will be fun, but they hardly ever are

Except for that one time I got at the Hanes 415 RHT stockings

Three hours later as I was going home the sale was still going on, less people, so I decide to stop

First I bought a Shelly teapot of about 10% of what an antique dealer would sell it for

I couldn’t imagine why it was there until noon, but it was

Top be sure I brought it to the place I buy a lot of Shelly and the dealer verified it

Then I spied an entire rack of slips, mostly white and cream but some back and pink. I checked sizes and everyone one I looked at would fit me.

Now the last thing I need are more slips, but the owner said “Ten dollars for all of them.”

So I said yes, and then by all of them it appeared she meant a box of half slips as well. I haven’t had enough time to go through them yet, except that they are hanging everywhere drying after I laundered them.

Then she asked if I would me interested in stockings. There were lot that had been worn and I have no interest in them, but there in my size were size cello packages of fully fashioned seamed stockings in the cinnamon or suntan beige I like

All six packages for $10!

I remember as a kid playing little league baseball, and another player’s sister used to come and see us. She always wore short skirts and cinnamon hose. Both the hose I am wearing in the picture and the hose I bought are that same color

I played third base, and I was quite good. But one day I missed a ball hit right at me because I was watching her, the tops of her stockings peeking out as she chatted with another woman

The stockings have no brand on them, but read this from the back:

These lovely stockings made of nylon should be given the same care as any other sheer hose.

They should be put on gently, the seams straightened and garters fastened on the hem fabric. Avoid rings, splinters etc to guard against snags.

Wash your hosiery in lukewarm soapsuds after wearing. Squeeze gently, don’t ring or twist.

Dry over a smooth rod preferably folded in a towel.
