Spectacular Pant Suit From Dana Kay

How about this pant suit? I just loved it when I saw it, and bought it straight away.

I wore it on a night when Carol and Amy were coming for a visit….to watch the Red Sox!

Yes here in Boston, old cross dressers, middle aged foundations salespeople, and 30 “ish” big boobed professionals all have one thing in common—our baseball team!

I have a backlog of letters so I thought I would get to some in this update

But first have a look at this longline bra. It is from "Elia" and I like it a lot. It has no band on the bottom like many long lines do. It was comfortable and easy to wear for 8 hours, yet very controlling

Dear April,
What is the best source for longline bras? I have gotten some on ebay but I am not happy with the selection
Abby in Albany

Hi Abby,
Believe it or not there are lots of resources! In no particular order are Frishman's, Old Pueblo Traders (Also sometimes they do a catalog called "Intimate Appeal", Lady Grace, Her Room, and lot's more.

Dear April,
Where do you buy slips? I cannot seems to find anything in the past few years, and you find lots of them. I am a big girl, if that makes any difference.
Marge

Hi Marge,
I think Frishman’s is the best place right now, and they have lots of other stuff as well. Also try Old Pueblo Traders, they have a very good assortment. Both have large sizes

Dear April
I think you are full of s—t. “Carol doesn’t want her picture on your site”, what a load of crap. And she just happens to have a friend with huge breasts, another lie. Just put the pictures up and stop with the fantasy life, we are not interested.
Candi

Thanks so much for your thoughtful letter Candi. What I don’t understand is why these people send me pictures. I don't really care what you believe, and I’ll tell you what Candi, why don’t you shave your chest and your legs, lose about 100 pounds, learn to use makeup and spend more than $19.99 on a wig. Then write back

Dear Miss April,
Do you know of any site that features TV’s and enemas? You have an interest in both and I thought you might know.
Cindy in VT.

No Cindy I don’t, if anyone does email me? I’d like to know myself
April

Hi April,
I am sure you don’t get many letters from real girls, but I have a question about eye shadow. Like you I just love heavy coverage of eye shadow, and I was wonder what you think is the best brand, and also where you get the bright yellow you use? Here’s a picture of me all made up.
Candi in Washington

Hi back at ya Candi
Wow! You are a sexy little thing aren’t you? And a lot nicer than that other Candi! The very best eye shadow as far as I am concerned is “Shu Uemura”. The yellow you mention is from them as well. Some Sephora stores carry this brand, but they have their own stores. I am not sure if they are on line.
April

Dear April,
Do you prefer flat knit or mesh stockings? Anf have you ever bought anything form the “Stocking Girl” site?
Dear Barbara,
Hmmmm…..Mesh or flat knit. I guess flat knit, though I also like mesh. To question 2—yes I have bought from Stocking Girl and they are terrific!

Dear April,
I have taken your advice over the years when shopping. However in the past month I have had 2 rather unpleasant experiences with salespeople. One was at Dress Barn, the other at the Mac counter at a department store. Just so that you know, I am extremely polite, shop at off hors, generally know what I want, and as your advise I buy stuff. At dress barn the salesperson was so rude to me I left everything on the counter, and there so outfits I really wanted (so much so I went to another Dress Barn and bought them!). At Mac once again the young lady was rude, and I ended up buying nothing. As I left I could hear her commenting to a co worker that I would look lousy in a dress. What would you have done?
Alicia Douglas

Dear Alicia
I like to think I would have done exactly what you did, which is retain my poise and dignity and leave! I am a little surprised about Mac, as they tend to be CD friendly. And how was your experience at the second dress barn you went to?
For example, also just yesterday I got an odd look from the woman in line behind me while at CVS getting sanitary napkins and tampons. I heard her whisper something to her friend and they both giggled and I thought of the time a woman looked at my basket filled with napkins and tampons and she actually asked me “Is all that for you?” Then I thought of Sadie from Eva DeVito’s, who when she found out I wore sanitary napkins she gave me 7 or 8 belts she had hidden away in stock!

Dear April
I have been trying to buy vintage stockings on EBay recently, and they are often sold in lots of multiple pairs. Why is this? I only want one pair, I am looking for variety, not 2 or 3 pairs of the same color. I have contacted some vendors and they won’t separate the stockings and sell them separately
Betty Smith

Hi Betty,
You might want to re-think you approach. Woman virtually never bought one pairs of stockings, they always bought multiples. Consider this—if you run a stocking and you have another pair you just grab another stockings. If you run pantyhose or a stocking if you only have one pair, they are useless.

I used to buy from a store on Fifth Avenue called “Cosmo Hosiery”. The little French woman who worked there never even asked how many I wanted—she always gave me 3 pairs! One thing I can virtually guarantee you is that I you find a pairs of stockings you love, and you only have one pair, no matter how hard you try you will run them!

If you look carefully you will see a fantastic vintage teapot I just bought.
