| Well, the Race for the Cure was a no go. I found out from my sister on Saturday morning. I guess the grounds at Bristol Meyers where the Race was being held were flooded pretty badly, and the race directors were concerned about safety. So, that was kind of a let-down. My sister decided that she was going to do a walk for diabetes with her husband, instead. My husband and I elected to sleep in! We decided to still meet up for brunch at my parents' house.
On Saturday, it was sunny and warmer most of the day. We did some errands and stuff in the morning and early afternoon. Around 3:30, dh and I were both ready to go out for our runs. The wind started kicking up and it rained for a few minutes. Then it cleared shortly, and off we went. Dh left first and was out of sight before I started. I was planning to do 5 miles at least or 6 if I was feeling good. Legs and all were cooperating, so I went for 6. I hadn't been this way before, so saw some new sights. Some beautiful and big houses. As I was nearing home, the wind kicked up again and it started raining, again. I tried to pick up the pace, as the wind and rain was chilling. Made it back in just under an hour. Of course, it stopped raining again!
Sunday, we slept in a bit, and then headed to my parents' house for brunch. My sister and her husband got there after us. They had a good walk. We ate lots of good food and had some good conversation. On the way home, dh and I stopped at the mall to look in Sears at treadmills. We tried a couple, but didn't buy anything yet.
Today, back to work!
