Blue's Blog
My life and running and whatever is on my mind at the time.
Long time no post...

OK, so I haven't been blogging in a while.  I've been swamped with work, so just haven't had time.  Things are cooled down for the moment, so I thought I'd try to catch up.

I'm loving the new treadmill.  OK, loving might be too strong of a word, but I've been using it a lot.  I'm running more miles than ever since it's much harder to find excuses to not run.  There are some good programs on it that I've tried.  I like the speed intervals program on the highest degree of diffuculty.  It changes speed every minute from comfortable to hard to comfy to medium to hard to comfy, etc.  Makes me work and keeps me interested.  I'll have to see if doing this program will make me any faster.

Went for my longest run yesterday.  I ran 6.75 miles in 1 hour and 8 minutes.  I also tried out my camelbak for the first time.  I was really hating it in the beginning, but I got it adjusted better somewhere around halfway, so that it stopped moving around so much.  Then it was a little tight, but tight was better than moving and sloshing, etc.  But overall it was a pretty good run.  A bit slow, but I just wanted to try the distance first.  Also it was a little colder out than I thought.  I could have used something on my ears and hands.

On Thanksgiving, dh and I are running our first Turkey Trot.  It's a 5K.  It's supposed to be pretty cold, so I'll have to layer up.  I'm not a big fan of running in the cold.  But I think it will be fun.  Then off to my sister's for dinner with the family.

Anyway, that's a bit of the scoop for now.  I'll try not to fall too far behind here! Image

Too funny that your other comment is from an "Andi" too.

I love how you are burning off your calories and then stocking up!! Good plan! ;-)
I am a huge proponent of Underarmour for running. It's so darned comfortable and keeps me toasty outside.

Good luck!
