Weekend...
I took Friday off for an unnoficial Christmas party. Our department used to have a really fun party, but the last one they had was in 2001. Since then it's been cookies or a lunch at work with the whole building. Very lame. Anyway, so my hubby has been organizing an unofficial party ever since. You take the afternoon off, go to the restaurant, hang out, eat pizza and drink beer. So that's what we did again this year. We had 11 people for lunch and a few more join up later for drinks. It was a lot of fun.
Didn't do much on Saturday except go to see our friends' daughter in her theatrical debute. It was a production of the Ugly Duckling, called Honk! Jr. It was a cute show and she did very well. She didn't have a major part, but had several lines, and sang lots of songs, and danced. She had one of the prettiest costumes.
Late Saturday into Sunday morning, it snowed. Not a lot, about 3 - 4 inches. Enough to look pretty, but not be much of a bother. It was cold and damp, so I chose to move my long run to the treadmill. I did 8.34 miles in 1 hour and 24 minutes. That's not including all the time that I paused it to drink, wipe sweat, blow my nose, change the channel, etc. etc... It helped that we had a free preview weekend of Showtime, so I watched part of a couple movies while I ran.
I also ran on the treadmill Friday for 5.23 miles on the applachian trail e-course. Saturday I did 4.11. I took Monday off after my long run. I ran 3.03 in 30 minutes this morning using the speed interval program.
