Christmas was great this year. We had Friday off, and so I did a little more shopping. My husband's "big" gift finally came in the mail, so that was a relief. So I wrapped up the rest of the presents.
Christmas Eve, we did some errands. After the errands were done, we both ran. It was nice out (about 55*), so dh ran outside. I dilly-dallied, so ended up on the treadmill. I did most of the Applachian Trail e-course for 4.65 miles in 46:20. Then we made and ate a nice dinner. We had ham, asparagas, rissotto, salad, and rolls. We drank a nice bottle of champagne that my sister and her husband gave us as a wedding gift. After dinner, we opened our presents. My big gifts were the Garmin Forerunner GPS system for running (& biking) and a beautiful white gold necklace. DH's big gifts were the "Key West" mirror (although he didn't get that until the next day) and tickets to the Lion King in NYC for January 21st.
Christmas day, we slept in a bit. Then had a nice breakfast. Then we each took our turns on the treadmill. I did 3.25 miles in 30 minutes. After that, we got ready and headed to my sister's to see the family and have dinner. We exchanged gifts with the family. Everyone got lots of nice presents. I got some clothes, books, and DVDs. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and dessert.
We also had Monday off. That was a relaxing day. I did a long run on the treadmill of 6.5 miles in just over an hour. We went to dinner at our friends' house to help them eat their Christmas leftovers. We had delicious meatballs, eggplant parmesian, veal marsala, and salad.
Today is back to work! It's very quiet in the office this week. Many people are out for vacation.
Hope that everyone else had a good Christmas, too!
