Warning, rant ahead! My new pet peeve is people who interupt my runs to ask me for directions. Excuse me, I'm out here trying to get some exercise, not just for a general stroll! Try a map or a gas station, but leave me alone! The first time this happened, I stopped and gave the person good directions, but then my rhythm was completely thrown off and I ended up having to cut my run short with a sore knee. Ok, maybe the injury part wasn't the lost guys fault, but I'm not sure ;) Anyway, last week, someone else stopped me for directions. Now, I was having a good run, and I just didn't want to be interupted. So, I waved the guy off and ran away as fast as I could. Right after that, I realized that it was about to pour. Hmmm, I blame the lost guy. BTW, I have a very poor sense of direction, so I'm really not the person you want to ask for directions, no matter what. But anyway, if you see a runner, don't ask them for directions. When I'm running, I won't stop any cars for directions either!
