This weekend was pretty good, too. DH and I both went for 3.5 mile runs after work. It was pretty hot again, but a little less humid. My time was 29:11, kinda a medium time. Then we ate pizza--YUMMY!
Saturday was errand day. Post office, bagel store, and tile store. We found a marble tile for around the new fireplace that matched well with the existing marble tile in front of the fireplace. Better than buying all new tiles and redoing the floor in front of the fireplace, too. Then onto car shopping. I was kinda dreading this part because I've gotten attached to my car. Also, it's a small car and DH wants to get a mid-size SUV ideally. So we went to Toyota, and looked at the Highlander Hybrid. I do like the car, but I still think it's too big for me. I drove it, tho, which was an improvement over when we looked at the Acura MDX in the fall. I like the idea of the hybrid, especially with an SUV. So, we'll see... Then we went out to dinner with our friends at a nearby restaurant. Another YUMM!
Sunday, I slept in a bit while DH went for a run. It was too hot and humid for me to run when I finally dragged my lazy self out of bed. We went for a bike ride instead. Decided to just ride from home instead of hooking up the bike rack and driving to the canal or something. So we went up to the Round Valley Resevoir. Wow, this was hilly and difficult. I felt terrible and had to stop before we made it to the boat launch at the resevoir. We turned around and went home. The way home was mostly downhill and more shady, so I was doing much better. We rode thru another townhouse/condo development and then a little past home to the nearby elementary school. We found our friends playing at the school playground. And then back home. It was a little over 10 miles roundtrip, I think. With breaks it took an hour and 45 minutes. We were pooped after the bike ride and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
