But first, I think it would be good for you and Alex to say good-bye to your parents.” You and Alex eye each other and then smile. “Gryvon can come along too, but I want to tell the Summoner what I will be telling you,” continues Correon. So you, Alex, and Gryvon set out for the doorway-that leads to your dimension. When you get across Alex says he wants to stay in Clay Hill, too. You notice that Gryvon had begun to get a little jealous of Alex. You ignore this. Alex and you separate here (of course Gryvon goes with you because he can’t stand to be away from you, because he’s in love with you too much.) Well, you go up to your parents and tell them you want to leave. They look at each other and then back at you and say together, “We’re not surprised. Well, listen to Correon, because he has some very important things to tell you.” Then, before you leave, they each give you a good-bye/good-luck kiss, and off you and Gryvon go. Then, Alex runs to catch up with you and he said his parents had okayed his permanent leaving and you say the same thing about yours. You open and go back through the doorway. (Alex is an expert at opening the doorway.) Well, all 3 of you head back to where Correon left you (which was the summoning tower of Clay Hill.) Correon comes up to you and hugs you and says, “I’m glad you’ve come back, safely.” Then Correon pulls you away from him as he says, “now for the real news, your ‘parents” aren’t really your parents. Mr. Idiot killed your real parents. That’s why they let you off so quickly. Except, Alex’s parents really are his, but they thought he’d be happier in Spellbinder Land. But that’s not the whole story,” continues Correon. You stand there by Correon in preparation for him to tell you something really awful. He says, “Kathy, all I have to say to you is this, You are my granddaughter. Mr. Idiot killed your real parents, as I have already said. Now for you I must explain since I am the king of the Spellbinder’s, that makes you the princess of the Spellbinder Land. If Alex wants to stay with you, he can.” “No!”, says Gryvon. “You may, also, Gryvon.” “But that isn’t fair,” continues Gryvon. Correon ignores that last remark made by Gryvon. “Kathy, you may choose, of course when you’re old enough, between Gryvon and Alex and you may marry whomever you so desire. Be it Alex or Gryvon. Don’t make the decision now! Wait a little bit.” “Well,” says Alex, “okay, by me. I am allowed to stay here. I got the okay by my parents.” “Yes, I see that,” says Correon, “but nevertheless, I’m glad you told me. And about Mr. Idiot being killed, this will forever end our worries over the attack of the Maurders. After all these years, the Maurders are finally defeated! But, the Dark Side did it. We still have them to tend with.....but that is all another time and story.” This is my story, I hope you enjoyed it- Kathy.
