MaintenanceYou should try to update your site (on average) two or three times a week. This will vary with the topic of your site. If your page is about a singing group or an actor, it may be wise to update more frequently. No one likes to read outdated news. In order to inform them of new news, you may want to have a page entitled "New this Week" or "Updates", or even just have a line near your email address saying "Last Updated: (date)". Usually people will also include a line above that one saying "Created: (date)". Just a thought. If you're doing a major overhaul of your site, or know that you won't be able to update for a few weeks, let your visitors know. Post a message saying that you'll "be unable to update, but expect new information on (date)" or something like that. Finally, make sure that all links leading to pages off of your site work. Checking them once or twice a month should take care of that. If a visitor finds a broken link, they may not take the time to look at any others. Some webmasters move their site or delete parts suddenly. Be careful of that.
