Railroad Crossing
He survived the Great Depression, even though he never owned an Electric Train, and finally he possessed his own car to soothe his brain. He had lived just twenty years within his dear ma ma's fears, as now he was shifting gears and laying rubber to the road, and the night 'twas black as the speedometer was clear unto the max, and yes I flew and I knew that speed can kill, but was overcome with pure emotion as my car was in motion, so like unto the powers of locomotion. I was just a humming along in my custom forty seven, a singing a song on my way to Heaven, when "doubt" entered the recesses of the mind, the very kind that sends shivers up and down my spine within the night; for it was the rail road crossing without the lights, something sinister that could mean a crash underneath iron wheels and of twisted metal and glass, to mean a call unto the Minister and the Undertaker as I applied the brakes. Not one moment to lose and no excuse, and was not my time to die, and for mom to cry as I paused to listen unto the rumble and the clatter of the train that couldn't be seen, for 'twas no Moon that night to be, or warning and no "mourning" with the coming of the morning.
Geologic Procreation
I struck the chisel deep into pure white stone, and cursed and groaned, as smashed my index finger almost to the bone, as many days of careful labor would favor the exciting flavor of eyes and ears with noble brow, and how I would howl as ruined the masterpiece in broken piece of stone, that soft eraser could never erase to save, and so I drew this and that and put away the unrepenting chisel, to make the pencil sizzle.
