The haiku holds a special place in literature. The Japanese three line poem of 17 syllables traditionally arranged in 5-7-5 order has been modified over the years in a variety of presentations. Even the traditional use of seasons and nature has been replaced in modern times, but one thing remains a constant, the simple yet deep feeling and image conveyed by the poet. Here are a variety of haiku presented with art and music. We hope you enjoy reading and listening. Let us hear from you.
