A Passionate Cry for Love
Oh goddess of love and beauty so true
Why hast thou left in limbo my soul blue,
This lonely heart of mine breaks more each day
to know a love true doth not come my way.
Why doth thy magic not shower on me
with a true love only mine eyes could see,
Is there not a love for me to be found
to hold mine heart and forever be bound?
Oh I but dream how sweet the bittersweet
Of love lost or not to know of loves treat,
To but one day drink of love’s sweet nectar
Such passion to flow quick as the river.
I fear that this melancholy will hold
Emptiness upon this my dying soul,
The gods can not agree to this my plight
I attempt to wonder what is not right.
The essence of love and passion so great
Is missed in mine heart and makes this soul ache,
One day the passionate cry of mine soul
Will meld with one more to make two hearts whole.
