The Sweetest Love Story
The Sweetest Story

Mother Dearest

Quilted satin cover
and pillow for her head,
Eternally sleeping
in her graven bed.

Roses laying gently
in her silky-smooth hands,
Tears falling so softly
on her dear wedding band.

Pictures of the children
surround her body sweet,
Purple ribbons express
a love so very deep.

Good-bye Mother Dearest
please sleep in peace tonight,
Remember we love you
When you pass through the light.

Written with much love for my dearest friend Linda Richey
upon the passing of her mother on April 5, 1997.
