| WHERE DID THEY GO? | |
| Dragonkind has been with us since the dawning of time. There was a time when dragons and humans lived together in harmony. But then Christianity came, and they envied the dragon's power. They called dragons evil, and servants of their Devil. They hunted them down, killing them when they could. They built their churches on top of dragon power spots, places where great energy accumulated. Dragonkind had few choices, the most obvious being to become extinct, or destroy the Christian hoards. But as powerful as dragons are, they are also among the wisest, and being passive, unless provoked, chose another option. Tiamat, mother of all dragonkind, summoned together the dragons, and together they invoked their great power, and summoned together all of their magic powers, to open a physical portal into the Astral Plane. Through the portal they flew, to safety and peace, closing the door behind them. They still come to the material plane, in spirit form, to continue to interact with humans. Some come to be spirit guides, some to be co-partners with humans for practicing dragon magic, and the young ones often come to simply dance and play with human children, who have yet learned to fear and hate them. And there always comes that time, in a dragon's life, when he is required to take human form, and dwell amongst humankind, for no other way can one come to understand humans than to be human. And there are also those of dragonkind who keep alive their eternal vow, with the humans they dwelt among so long ago, that the dragon riders shall "walk with dragons" throughout all of there many lifetimes, until it is time for them too to go home, and once again reside with the dragons on the astral plane...because it was they together who fought the eternal battle between good and evil. | |
| WHAT DIFFERENT COLORS OF DRAGONS ARE THERE? | |
| Dragons come in a number of different colors, even within family and subfamily groups. The colors of dragons, that I am so far aware of are: black, blue, brass, bronze, brown, chromatic, copper, crystal, gold, green, platinum, red, silver, and white. If you chance to see a dragon of another color, doesn't mean you're colorblind, merely means it's a dragon color I have not yet seen personally. | |
| HOW MANY FAMILIES OF DRAGONS ARE THERE? | |
| That is a good question to ask. I will try to answer as best I can. The major families of Dragons are AIR, WATER, FIRE, EARTH, LIGHT and DARKNESS. The subfamilies of each are:
AIR - Storm, Weather, Wind It must also be noted, that guardian dragons can be of any family, or subfamily, so they are not given their own category. | |

| Dragon Magic is the practice of magic, through the co-partnership with dragons. Of coarse, because you are co-dependent on the assistance of dragons, one must always remember that since dragons are good, attempting to perform magic that is harmful to others, or not intended for good, the dragons will not only be unwilling to co-operate, they have been known to purposely cause an effect which is not one you had originally intended. | |
