Character Bios Here you can find info about the people on this wonderful Show. By the time Frame of NightHood, Arsène Lupin has retired and spends his time travelling around the world inspecting the scenes of crimes he didn't commit, but where his card was found at the scene. Usually with the words :"With the Compliments of Arsène Lupin,"(his catchphrase. ) Lupin
ARSENE LUPIN ( ar-sen loo-pan) The Gentleman Burglar Extrordinaire. He was once one of France's most Famous globetrotting jewel thieves, but he has since retired. His hobbies include "Helping" the French police to recover items that are said to have been stolen by him, and sending bouquets to miss Kelly Kincaid. He usually attempts something risky and acrobatic, and most of the time, such as when he jumps onto cars' roofs, they fail.
GROGNARD (Groan-yar) He has been Lupin's Chauffeur, right-hand man and best friend ever since the books. He and Lupin seldom fight, and the only time they did in the show, it was with good cause. When Lupin attempts something dangerous, Grognard warns him against it, but most of the time Lupin doesn' t listen anyway. Grognard has even gone to the extent of posing as Lupin on several occasions. (seems to me to be a pretenderish character. Only one name.)
KELLY KINCAID (if you can't pronounce this, you're helpless) An American reporter for the New York Inquirer. She has taken Max under her care, and he is with her always. She is a friend of Lupin, and a recipient of several gifts from him. When she and Max encounter Lupin in disguise, she is usually the last to figure out. She is an excellent journalist, however, and very persistent.
Not much is known about this street orphan. While in existence, the YTV website claimed he had been put under Kelly's care by Lupin, but the only clue given in the show to support this is a little bit of teasing on Lupin's part . "This is how you take care of Max?" Max is bright, and quick to catch onto Lupin's disguises. He has an oddly familiar last name, and that hat of his as surfaced in a flashback, as well.
INSPECTOR GANIMARD (Gani-Mar) He is an old French detective who's been after Lupin ever since the books, When Lupin was in full action, I suspect he doesn't think too much of Folenfant. He wants nothing more than to catch Lupin once and for all and retire to "a little farm in Normandy" As he'd pointed out several times
SERGEANT FOLENFANT (fall-en-fahnt) A fairly young sergeant with the French police. He is Characterized by his yellow jacket and whiny voice. He was placed on the team under Ganimard, his boss. He has a huge crush on Kelly, but she doesn't think much of him.
A rich industrialist, Owner of Karst Industries. He is always looking for ways to make himself richer. Those means are usually illegal. His gang of MeyHem, Steel, Gila and Diesel pull of Karst's Crimes for him, usually blaming them on Lupin by leaving a copy of his card behind. The map puzzle on his desk represents, (Again, according to the old YTV site) the parts of the world he has control over. He never places a piece until he does . MeyHem is blonde haired, blue eyed and, the casual observer, the portrait of innocence. In reality, however, she can be as cold as ice. Her weapon of choice is the tranquilizer dart, but she will use her female charms to accomplish her goal, if necessary. STEEL Steel is best described as Karst's Henchman. He is ruthless in all his exploits. He is best recognised by his blond hair again) and violet suit. He usually uses hostages in his exploits, most often Kelly Kincaid. It is my observation that his meetings with Lupin most often result in a physical fight. |
