Well my love you have reached the great age of Ten
Here's a Happy Birthday and how good have you been
I have enjoyed these years you've lived with us here
But Granddaddy more so, to him you are so dear
You have grown so tall and all boy that you are
It will not be long before you will ask for that car
The years have rushed by us so speedily fast
Just slow down a little, we want this to last
A little while longer, we want you with us while
You will burst into manhood, no longer a child
Let us enjoy the few years more left to us here
With advancement in Scouts we give a great cheer
If you will follow the Boy Scouts promise and oath
You will grow and prosper, and give pride to us both
There will be lots to tempt you along your life's way
Think things through and think what would they say
What advice would we give you, if you could just ask
You will hear us whisper to get on with the task
Do your best we'll tell you, your problems do face
All parts of the puzzle will then fall into place
But since today you have only reached ten
I wish you a Happy Birthday, I said it again
Happy Birthday!!!!
Christopher
We love you
Granddaddy and Sweetheart
