Green-Eyed Monsters

Your jealousy is driving me crazy,
And it seems to get worse with time---
To you there is not a damned thing wrong with it,
But I can see
That obviously
You never heard the old nursery rhyme.

This green-eyed monster went to market
With his gal friend who had loads of charm---
But he thought she was flirting with the dimpled checker,
So this green-eyed monster broke her arm.

How ya gonna make
Your love-affair grow?
Sprinkle it with rancor,
Put it in a skillet---
Add a little envy
Then proceed to kill it.

This green-eyed monster had some roast beef,
But her hubby went and got her goat---
She accused him of fondling her younger sister,
So she stuffed the roast beef down his throat.

How ya gonna make
Your love-affair grow?
Toss in some resentment,
Go and mix and mash it---
Add a bit of fury,
Then proceed to trash it.

This green-eyed monster stayed at home, dear---
With his wife he relished making scenes;
He was sure she was humping with the next door neighbor,
So he blew them both to smithereens.
