Shadow of Despair
By Ami
Ami's idea is a good one, as is her keeping with the simplicity of 'Shadow of Despair'.  Here it seems more appropriate though, in the small but powerful words Mulder writes to Scully.  I was touched by the ability of Ami to reach into that moment and again, as in 'Shadow', extract a new element.
Again there were grammer problems, and I really encourage Ami to find an editor; it can make a world of difference.  Ami did a nice job of keeping the voice of Mulder precise, though I found the beginning a little off.  I cant imagine the poetic and philosphical Mulder beginning a heartfelt letter with "..forgive me if my words are cheesy..."
Hell, maybe that's a guy-thing.  But I think we've heard enough of Mulder's rambling and yammering on to know his eloquence and unrealistically precise choice of phrasing.  This is not a man unsure of his ability with words.
Ami again did a nice job and another 3.5/5
