This
is not much of a tutorial but it still creates a great effect to your images.
I works well when the image and the background don't exactly match. The
functions used are:
- cropping and - buttonize. |
Step
1:
Open your image and make sure the colour depth is set to 16 million colours i.e. click "colours - increase colour depth - 16 million colours". Using the selection tool, select the part of the image you want to be buttonized. Crop the image by clicking "image - crop to selection". |

Step
2:
Now you are ready to create the raisde edge effect. Click "image - effects - buttonize" and enter the following settings: - Height: 6 - Width: 6 - Opacity: 70 - Transparent Edge: checked This is what you final image will look like - simple and stylish. |

You can play around with the settings to change the look of the border. This is the most common way to create buttons. |
