| Is there ANYONE... (3 Replies) Aragorn - 06/26/1998 - 05:58:42 P Who doesn't know my name's from Tolkien? No? Didn't think so. Anyway, Aragorn was leader of the Rangers in 'Lord of the Rings'. I thought I'd use it, having a small connection with the show. Yet, I'm still not certain that's the perfect name. I think I'll start experimenting with a few others and see if any sticks.

Those are all noble monikers....but keep Aragorn. He is one of the best characters IMHO from LotR. mab
You haven't tried "Doofus" ... hey, just kidding, just kidding!! °-) If you really want to get Tolkeinesque obscure, my main player name over on Ultima Online is "Ubeleg", which is Sindarin for "Un-Mighty" (and he is, too). --GJ
He had so many obstacles to overcome, not just within himself, but from without. Mistrust being the strongest, I think. Of all the Tolkien characters, he is and always will be my favorite. When the rangers first surfaced on B5, I thought of Aragorn! He was the original ranger (reading JMS)! I always wanted to name one of my babies (dogs) either Strider or Aragorn (I will yet! I finally got a gray cat that I could name Gandalf.) But, you have to pick what feels right to you. Lightly hoping Aragorn will be the perfect fit. Aragorn was a VERY strong and resolute character -- which your postings show... character and resolution. Whoa... Need I say more!!! |
