It means that if in the digital age, a very small thing gets damaged, it affects bigger things.

      bigorangedot 07-23-00

Back in Vancouver when I was going to university there, I had a computer account at the university. I needed a password for my account, so I looked around the computer lab. Next to me there was a chair. On the seat there was a dot... it was big... and it was orange. Wow, isn't that an exciting tale?

      BigWilly 01-Dec-00

At first glance you would think my online nick was somewhat perverted, but I always thought if someone took the time to ask me the truth, then they shall know. BigWillyDa3rd or just BigWilly is simply a splicing of a childhood nickname and a slight hint of my size. I was often called Willy by my friends as a short for Wilson, or so I was lead to believe. I also stand 6'4" and have a size 13 shoe. I am also the 3rd born of 4 boys. So there you have it, the whole world now knows I am not the big pervert that I may seem to be.

      Binkyboy 25-Jul-00

I am naturally a pacifier. I am the one who steps in to help settle disputes or pick someone up who is sad, depressed, etc. I think you get the idea. Binky is the brand name of a pacifier for babies. The boy part comes in as I still fell like a little boy looking upon the world as if it is a mysterious and magical place where anything can happen.

I am now in the process of finding a better nick, still suitable to the above personality, but more as in a name of a character of a book, philosopher, king, neighbor, whatever. The more creative and distinct, the better. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail me.

Top of my list at the moment is Plato or Socrates, but those are too common.

        Thanks... Binkyboy.

      Birdie 01-15-01

The name Birdie comes from an English children's television programme called "Tottie." It was set in a doll's house and they used real old fashioned dolls. Birdie was the youngest, a little china doll who had wings made from real feathers. He/she was always very mischevious but good natured. The evil doll MarchPaine hated Birdie's enthusiasm so she started a fire that Birdie got caught in and he/she died.

I chose the name as the story and the series always stuck in my mind. It was so original and I doubt they'd show it to children nowadays as they'd deem it too melancholic. I am also short so the name stuck. People also call me Birdie after Matthew Lillard's girlfriend in the film "Serial Mom" because they think my boyfriend looks like him. So it has a couple of different meanings.

      Blackrock1956 25-Feb-2000

I use two nicknames when chatting - blackrock1956 and taliesin1956. "Blackrock" is the name of a climbing hut in Glencoe, Scotland, which is owned by the Ladies' Scottish Climbing Club. Taliesin is the name of the Court Poet to King Urien of Rheged, an ancient kingdom which covered much of modern-day Cumbria and Strathclyde in Britain. The "1956" part in each case is my birth-year.

      blankita - 12/29/99

My name comes from the nickname I earned in high school. I hung out with a very United Colors of Bennetton ad group...lot's of hispanics, african-americans, even some Lebanese chicks!!! I was the only white girl so they came up with blankita...which translates into little white girl in Spanish.

      bubb1ette - 07/24/02

Hi All! My nickname is bubb1ette because of my bubbly personality, I put a 1 instead of an L just to make it interesting. I originally was called bubba-ette by my brothers as I call them bubba (I always got their names mixed up!) The bubba-ette eventually became bubble-ette and the rest is history or should I say her-story. I love words and puns and all the witty things words create.

Thanks for listening to my story.

        Annette...bubba-ette....bubb1ette.......................

I felt like it was representative of what was important to me. The man I am in love with and have been for years named my car that years ago. He gave me a buddha keychain and I have a buddha tattooed on my back. I'm not buddhist tho.

        That's all! :)
