Fearpixy 06/09/00

While reading about "Forgotten English," I learned the term "coltpixy," which was used in Wales to describe a spirit who mimicked the neigh of a horse so to lead them into a bog, thus destroying them. I'd like to do similar things with my own fears and hang-ups! Thus, Fearpixy.

      Flutterbidget 02-Jun-2000

I have two on-line names. One I chose and one was chosen for me.

The one I chose was flutterbidget. Sounds absolutely mad, doesn't it? Well it comes from what my grandmother used to call butterflys - flutterbys. The "bidget" bit I never worked out. I think I was a bit distracted the first time I typed it and it all came out wrong.

The other name is step-in-a-bubble. This was actually a childhood nickname that my father gave me. It was supposedly from a nappy (diaper) advert on TV when I was a baby that had lots of bubbles in it. I rather stupidly told my friends about it and it got resurrected. My friend Dave insists on calling me step-in-a-puddle much to my annoyance.

Well, if you happen to have American cable - FX shows reruns at 7ish and 10ish (Central Time anyway!) They tend to show them in order; I forget where they are right now...

Posted on Thu, 15 Apr 1999 after a little coaxing... Alright then - I'll be sociable :> Hi! My nickname for this board is probably obvious in origin. I had a fairly Seuss-intensive childhood (I truly do know "How Lucky You Are!") and it seemed a good fit. In addition, the image it inspires is somethin' for the ladies! Grrrowr!

When I was learning to say my name (Sarah), I couldn't get the s and r right. It came out fuhwuh and, as a nick, has stuck.

      fuzzyinthehead...(18-Jan-2000)

        My name? well...
my name had one origin, but has aquired a few meanings. The real reason I'm "fuzzyinthehead" is that I tend to get hyper, very hyper. In fact, at my peak moments, I will spin circles in public until I'm so dizzy, fuzzy in the head, that I fall over. however, I am fuzzy in a few other ways. ;P
