Come on, it is really sad if you don't know who Galadriel is. She's the lady of Lothlorien in Lord of the Rings. Extremely beautiful and brilliant and a very important character.

I happen to be a HUGE University of Florida Gators fan. Although
I interrupted my higher education in favor of marriage and did
not make it to UF, I still support the Gators. I wanted a name
that defined me and let others know where I stand in the
Florida/Georgia game. I also post on bulletin boards in New
Orleans as onemardigraslover. However, I do have a plain old
boring email name and address for formal contact.

My name's original source is a book, published by National Lampoon Press years and years ago titled _Bored_of_the_Rings_. It featured the boggies Frito and Dildo, Goddamm who was trying to steal the ring back, Goodgulf the Wizard, and many other charactors. I'm told that some guy named Tolkein wrote a parody of it...
When I was in High School, I got involved with a "cult." In fact, I started the cult. It was the Banananananananana Slug Cabal of the existing Discordian Society. And true to the ways of the society, I chose a Discordian Holy Name:

I started using "Goodgulf" or some variation on that theme as my internet nickname, and have ever since.
I can also be found under the names Magus, Magos, or Cult Magus.

i was sitting incorrectly in orchestra one day (lotus position) and my standpartner said that i looked like i was meditating. we started joking about how i was the all-knowing-guru-ommmmmmm and i decided on gurugurl for my screen name because i am the allknowing-guru-ommmmmmmm.

I was trying to think of a nickname before I went into a chatroom and the chapstick I was putting on was called Guava...the rest is history :)
