My name came about during my first day at college. In our
freshman orientation class we had to tell everyone our name and a
work that described us using the same first letter as our first
name. My name is Heather, and I couldn't think of anything that
decribed me starting with "H". But my now best friend was
sitting next to me, and before I could even say my lame one
(hopeful) he said, "Horny Heather." So it stuck. I'm Horny
Heather (it's true, anyway), so now I'm hsquar for short.

It is actually a very simple story. I fell madly in love with T.S. Eliot a few years ago and in "The Wasteland," which is perhaps one of the greatest poems ever written, Eliot writes "...and you called me your Hyacinth Girl." I have been the Hyacinth Girl ever since. As a side note, Elizabeth Hand, one of my favorite sci-fi authors also called a character "Hyacinth Girl."
