I chose my nick not for the romantic overtone it has relating to arthurian sagas, but to the evil and lacking in my own soul. Lancelot fell a long away and in life it feels I follow that spiral while battling to save my tattered honor. I chose 1700 for two reasons: it was the age of enlightenment and it was the number of the USS Starship on Startrek, the first Enterprise-type ship. Top of Page ![]() |

What a good idea for a site - it's a subject of endless fascination to me as well...and I love having people ask me where my name comes from, because it gives me a chance to do one of the things I love best - spout on about my favourite authors :) Firstly, I'm a guy with a female name...this came about while playing Diablo as a rogue (female amazon type character). I wanted a heroic name for my char, and this one certainly is...
my pet hate is having to guess who around me is a friend with a name I've not seen before...lol... So now you know!! Lost C'Mell ![]() |
17-Aug-00 My first online nick was Novalen. It came from the combination of two characters from the Orson Scott Card "Ender" series: Novinha and Valentine. These women were both very strong, and very important to Ender, the books' protagonist, but they were also quite different, and I thought of myself as having a little bit in common with each of them, so I combined their names to form my online identity.
My current nick is also a combination, but not one I created. Lottelita comes from Nabokov's sensational book "Lolita": at one point, when Humbert Humbert is involved with Lo's mother Charlotte, he imagines the mother and daughter combined, and names this figment "Lottelita, or Lolitchen." Again, I found my personality a combination of Charlotte and Lolita, so this nick was fitting.

3-2-01 I love the mysteries of the moon; her magic fills my heart. I also am enamored of the myths of dragons, and the fantasy of the dragon fighter, the dragoon. So I took our moon's name, Luna, and enchanced it and added the dragon fighter for the strength which (guestbook cut off entry) ![]() |
09/22/00 It started out as Lady Fett, because of my longtime interest in Boba Fett. Then the name morphed. It became Lady Luthien Hecate Fett. "Luthien"'s from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. It's the name of an elfmaid (whose mother was a Maia, I might add) Luthien fell in love with a mortal man named Beren... "Hecate" is from the Greek goddess Hecate. I've always had a fascination for Hecate, and the combination of Luthien and Hecate sounded right. It's the name most people online know me by, and the one I feel most comfortable with.
